Self-care is something that I preach about all the time. The importance of it is next level and something that we all should be doing every single day. I hear a lot that women just don't have time for self-care every day, but in today's episode I share with you some effective and efficient self-care that you CAN incorporate into every day. Think 5 minutes; if you have 5 minutes to check social media, you can do something that will fill you up on a soul level and not drain your time. We can't give from an empty cup, so we MUST do things that light us up, feel relaxed and bring us back into the present moment. Not only do you benefit from self-care, so does everyone around you because you are going to radiate a much more positive energy to those around you, which in turn will be reflected back at you. So grab a pen and paper and put together your own self-care list.

New Year is a great time to reflect on the past year, release anything that you want to let go of and get clear on what it is that you want for the new year. We tend to set New Year resolutions which never seem to get past the first month, I think this is due to the fact that we don't break our goal down. We leave it broad and in turn, it is too overwhelming so we let it go. In today's episode I share with you some journaling prompts to reflect on 2018, a releasing technique to let things go and feel into what you want for 2019. Let's make 2019 your year!

Exercise is one of those things that can come and go. We get all excited with a new program or a new gym, and then after a couple of weeks we are slacking off already. Or injury or sickness comes along and you need to stop what you had been doing, to only lose that motivation and you struggle to get back into. After 6 years of being a personal trainer, I have seen this time and time again with clients, but also myself. The key is to find exercise that you love, enjoy and are committed to. Without those things, the motivation to keep on going week after week gets less and less until you have stopped completely. In this week's episode I share with you my fitness story and some great tips to keep that motivation high, so you too can begin to live an active lifestyle.

When it comes to health, fitness, nutrition and overall happiness, I truly believe that we need to have the right mindset to set ourselves up for success. With over 6 years in the health and wellness industry, I have seen so many different people come and see me to help them get healthy. There have been people who have had loved ones that have told them to come and see me, there have been clients who have had enough and wanted to make a change and others that have come to support a friend. Who do you think have made the life long changes? The clients that stuck with me for years. You guessed right, the clients who had the right mindset that set them up for success because they were there for them. Something clicked in their mind that enough was enough and this allowed them to stick with their new way of life. In today's episode I share with you the four mindset must have's I think that we all need to really make a life long change in our lives. "There is a stream of love supporting my dreams" - this is the affirmation card I pulled from Gabby Bernstein's 'The Universe Has Your Back' affirmation deck to guide me for what I needed to share with you in today's episode. At first I had no idea what that meant and what I could share, but then it popped into my head that I needed to share with you my journey to how I got to where I am today. From the boring jobs, breaking up with a boyfriend to meeting my husband and taking the leap of faith to start my own business. Life throws us crap at times, but there are lessons in it all and this episode is a little sneak behind the curtain of my personal life. I hope it inspires you to trust and listen to your own wisdom so you too can live your healthiest and happiest life.

When you think of being healthy, what do you think of? I bet healthy eating and exercise were the first couple of things to pop into your mind. Now don't get me wrong, those things are definitely at the top of my list too, but a big one that we tend to forget and just put up with are our relationships - intimate, friendships and family. We need to have good quality relationships that light us up and make us feel good about ourselves, anything less and it might be time to reconsider. In today's episode I chat with you about why we need healthy relationships and some tips you can incorporate to deal with difficult family members or get the spark back into your intimate relationship. |
