There are so many powders and supplements on the market that I think we have forgotten a bit about the humble fruit and vegge.
When this thought came to me I decided to muck around with a little wellness shot to take each morning to help me get enough fruit and veggie in my day, because let's be real, some days are better than others when it comes to what I eat. I love playing around with different combos and I found this to be a winner, plus it is full of the goodness.

Smoothies are my go to breakfast when I don't know what to have or don't have the time to prepare anything else. You chuck everything into your blender, and there you have it, a nutritious tasty brekkie.
The thing to make sure you have in your smoothies is healthy fats and protein to help keep you fuller for longer. And this one has a good dose of antioxidants with the berries. Smoothie bowls are the best! They are colourful, healthy and filling. Plus you can get creative and turn it into a piece of art.
I cam across this smoothie bowl idea a few months ago and it is my go to when I feel like one for breakfast or lunch. I was a bit uncertain about how peanut butter would go with acai, but it works. I have made little tweaks to the recipe to make it my own. This is the first in my new video blog series...I listened to your feedback on Instagram (thank you!) and 100% of you wanted me to do videos on the recipes that I make, so here is the first in what I'm sure will be many.
It is super quick and super yummy! If you crave chocolate, like moi, then this will definitely be a healthy option to curb that craving. You get the chocolate hit but with the goodness of antioxidants (cacao has over 40 times more antioxidants than blueberries), iron, magnesium, protein, fibre, vitamins and healthy fats. What isn't to love! Who doesn't love flavoured milk? I know I sure do, and if you missed if from a couple of weeks ago, I have a chocolate mylk smoothie recipe which you can get here.
Normal flavoured milk is full of sugar and if you don't drink dairy milk then you are very limited to what you can enjoy. But fear no more...here is my strawberry version where you can use any milk you like. INGREDIENTS 250ml organic almond milk 2tbs organic vanilla or natural yoghurt 1/2 punnet of strawberries, cut in half 4 dates 1tsp vanilla extract Sprinkle of chia seeds on top You could also add banana and ice if you wanted too. 1. Easy peasy...pop all the ingredients into your smoothie maker and let it spin. 2. Pour into your favourite jar or glass and top with the chia seeds. 3. Drink up and enjoy my healthy version of strawberry mylk. Be happy & healthy, This afternoon I was craving chocolate milk, got to love pregnancy. But instead of reaching for cow's milk and a few tablespoons of Milo (a weakness of mine), I decided to get creative and make my own chocolate milk with a twist. I wasn't sure how it would turn out but it sure satisfied my craving, tasted delicious and left me feeling full. Plus all the ingredients are good for you and your body. Bonus!!
