My breastfeeding journey second time around has been very up and down, so I have been wanting to do what I can to try and keep up my supply. You can read some more of my tips for healthy breastfeeding here. I am currently loving this smoothie concoction that I made up a few weeks back which I wanted to share with you. I don't think I will stop drinking it after my breastfeeding journey is over with either. It is so delicious! I have added ingredients that help support lactation - oats to promote lactation. Coconut milk, flax oil, avocado and chia seeds which are all healthy fats needed for healthy lactation and protein powder to help give the smoothie some body to keep you feeling full. INGREDIENTS
2-3tbs cacao powder 1tbs vanilla protein powder (I used Healthy Mummy because it is breastfeeding friendly) 1-2 cups of coconut milk (more or less depending on the consistency that you want) 1/2 frozen banana 1/4 avocado 1tbs chia seeds 1tsp flax oil 2tbs rolled oats 1tsp maple syrup 1tsp vanilla extract 1. Pop all the ingredients into your smoothie maker or blender. 2. Pour into a glass and enjoy! I would love to see your re-creations so please tag me in them (@__kylie.anderson). Be happy & healthy,
