During the week I shared on Instagram Miss A having a tantrum, and I asked for some advice from other mums who are going through or who have been through the fun 'threeanger' stage what they can suggest. I just let Miss A go for it - I couldn't reason with her, talk to her, touch her or even be near her really. She was just in such a tantrum state, I had no idea what to do. So when the tips started to come in I thought I would share them with you all in case you are in the midst of this stage too; or you have it coming up. + Wine (for mum not child) + Meditation music in the background to bring some calm to the home. + Watch what food they are eating - too much white sugar can really play with them. + Count to 3 - this doesn't work for me as Miss A likes to count along with me (funny, yet so frustrating in the moment). + Timeout corner to calm down - then chat about why they were sent to timeout. + Sticker chart (you can find my goal sheet template here) + Explain the situation to them so they understand what is going on. + Go into another room and scream into a pillow *lol* + Pick your battles. + Go into another room. + Some children are sensitive to the moon cycles. + Don't even try and reason with them - it is like teaching someone how to swim while they are drowning. + Kids need a sense of control so where can we give that to them? A day chart so they know what is happening on that particular day. + Talk about expression of emotions with your child - feelings are okay. + Invest in ear muffs *lol* Thank you again to all the amazing mums who sent these tips to me, they were too good not to share with everyone. If you have any other tips, please leave them in the comments below for all to read. Be happy & healthy,
