Who is Lee and what is Brightside Coaching? Lee is a lovely lady who I have connected with through the wonderful world of Facebook and online courses. Lee is a social worker turned life coach and specialises in mindset and wellbeing. She uses positive psychology strategies alongside coaching process to help her clients get the best outcome that they are after. Brightside Coaching is where Lee run's her beautiful business from to help people from all over and also offers her Operation Flourish which is a six week online course packed with strategies and tools that you can start using immediately to boost your happiness and wellbeing. Let's get stuck into Lee's inspiring interview with me... + How did you get to where you are today? I've been working with people adjusting to great change for many years as a social worker; people with acquired disability, mental health problems, through grief and loss. I thought about doing private work for many years before I finally made the jump in October last year. Earlier in the year I was thinking about creating an online mindset and life coaching course for people who wanted a taste of life coaching and Operation Flourish was born. We are half way through the first round and I am going to run it again in September this year, it's be so successful. + What motivates you each and every day? My kids motivate me to keep fit and take care of my health. I am a much better parent when I've had enough sleep, been for a run and had some time out. When it comes to my coaching practice, I am motivated by the huge sense of satisfaction I get when my clients develop self belief, tap into their hearts and start making decisions that serve them. + What quote do you live by at the moment? "A year from now you will have wished you had started today" ~ Karen Lamb. I find this just so true! How often do we finally start something and think, sheesh I should have done this years ago! It's a motivating quote and inspires action. + What has been your biggest struggle on your journey? I have found adjusting to motherhood a huge struggle. I've always been extremely independent and I have had to work hard to learn how to communicate my needs and ask for help. + What food can you not live without? Banana and peanut butter on gluten free toast (I have coeliac disease). And coffee. I love coffee. + Do you have a daily routine? If so, what is it? Not really, more like a weekly routine. I have one child at school and one at childcare, plus part-time work and one to one coaching work. I am a crazy scheduler. I schedule exercise, coaching clients and writing time. I also make sure my partner and I have a date night every week or two and that I have feet up time, which usually involves reading, knitting or watching TV or all of the above. + What would you tell your 14 year old self? That you are beautiful, smart, unique and the best is yet to come. + How do you want to be remembered? This is a tough one! I'd like to be remembered as someone who made people feel comfortable to be themselves, and who supported others to believe in themselves, and live and love courageously. I'd like to be remembered as a devoted mum and loving partner and family member. Thank you so much for joining me Lee, it was such a pleasure!
