I've been honoured with TWO Liebster Awards...

What is a Liebster Award? That was my thoughts exactly before I received TWO emails from amazing women over the past week who each gave me this award. Super excited that other bloggers love my blog so much that they have given me an award for it. So excited and blessed as this is the first blog award Radiant has been awarded!!

The Liebster Award is for up and coming bloggers and I now need to nominate 10 other bloggers that I love and give them 10 questions to answer. Becomingness Questions...

+ What inspired you to start your blog?
I started my business, Radiant Personal Training in June last year, I just had a website because that is what you do but I started learning a little bit about blogging. For years now I thought it would be great to start a blog but I wasn't a writer and who would read it? But I thought if I have a website I may as well share information with the people that visit it, plus I love reading blogs myself and it has grown from there.


+ Do you prefer the beach or the snow?
My girlfriends and I were talking about this the other night actually...I am definitely a beach person. I feel the cold and am not a huge fan of winter. There is something calming about waves crashing and the sand between your toes.


+ What is your favourite band or artist?
Hmmmm....this is a tricky one because I love so many different types of music, my iPod is always a surprise when it is on shuffle because you never know what you are going to get. But saying that I love Michael Buble, Blink 182, All American Rejects, Katy Perry, Paramore, Lady Gaga and of course my all time favourite P!nk. So as you can see there is a mix!


+ What skill would you like to learn?
I have always wanted to learn how to knit. Scarves are my best friend in winter so being able to make one and say I did that would be amazing. I have tried but I just can't get the hang of it, maybe one day.


+ Where was the last place that you travelled to?
It was Cambodia in February this year, wow!! That country is something else! I had the best time and it was for a good cause as well so that made it even more special. My husband and I did a charity bike ride to raise funds for Project Futures and the Somaly Mam Foundation to stop sex trafficking in Cambodia. I would definitely visit again, it is beautiful and the Cambodian people are so friendly. 


+ What do you like to do to pamper yourself?
I love a good massage! I would love to get one a month not only because it is relaxing but because I have a physical job so my body needs it. Second best, is a hot bubble bath with Epsom salts, lavender oil, candles and a good book.


+ Are you an early bird or a night owl?
I am an early bird, that's for sure, there is nothing like watching the sunrise! I go to bed around 9:30-10pm and wake up between 6-7am. Plus being a personal trainer I see clients early before they head off to work so I need to be an early bird.  


+ Who is your idol?
Great question...it's a hard one! I have a couple, firstly Michelle Bridges because after losing 10kg on her program it pushed me to start this as a career so I could help women achieve what I did. Rachel MacDonald from In Spaces Between, she is a beautiful soul who radiates with love and passion. If I can be half as successful as her with staying so grounded I would be a happy woman.


+ What is your favourite childhood memory?
It would have to be playing outside with the other kids in my street. I feel so blessed to have grown up in the late 80's and 90's because we didn't have all the technology that kids have these days, we had to play outside and run around to entertain ourselves. Playing cricket with the bin as the stumps, water fights, running under the sprinkler, chasey and skipping. Such great memories!


+ What is your favourite quote or affirmation?
"Do what you love and believe in and success will come naturally". 


Such a true quote that I have lived by for a long time but only recently has it happened. Having a job that you would do for free if money wasn't a necessity is what it is all about and I just love my job and my clients so much.

The Mindful Morning Questions...

+ What is the perfect way to spend Sunday?
This question all depends on the season for me...but waking whenever my body is ready to wake, cuddles with my husband and furkids, a cooked breakfast, a hot shower with candles burning, cup of herbal tea and a book I can immerse myself in for an hour or so, sitting in the sunshine with a picnic lunch and then snuggling on the couch with my hubby watching a movie. If it is summer I would add in beach time with my hubby and close friends.


+ What is your favourite morning ritual?
Waking whenever my body is ready to wake (sound familiar hehe), splashing my face with cold water, grabbing breakfast and a cup of green tea and heading back to bed to do some reading. Moving my body in some way depending on how I feel and then meditation for 10-15 minutes.


+ What is your favourite night ritual?
Snuggling on the couch with my hubby as we talk about our day, then washing my face and removing all my make up, jump into bed and read for half an hour.


+ Coffee or tea?
Hmmmm....I love both. I only allow myself one cup of coffee a day so I really enjoy that at morning tea time with a bliss ball. But I do drink tea a lot more, I have a green tea with breakfast, green chai tea at afternoon tea time and peppermint tea after dinner. I have a hot drink ritual haha.


+ If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
I must admit I love Melbourne so I am happy here but my dream would be to live in a beach house so I can meditate with the crashing waves as the sunrise's, run or walk along the beach and take a dip when I need to clear my head and body. Maybe Sorrento or Apollo Bay, they are so beautiful!!


+ What lights you up and brings you joy?
So many things...my work, my clients, my friends and family, my amazing husband and our two cats, being home is so relaxing and calming, it is my bubble. Cooking, dancing, seeing my clients succeed and reaching their goals. Sitting outside in the sunshine grounding my feet in the grass. Meditating and exercising. Having a hot bubble bath or a massage. Everything I am grateful for, no matter how big or small always makes me smile.


+ What is the mantra / quote / affirmation that you live by?
As my answer above :)


+ What is your favourite way to move your body?
It depends on my mood and I go through phases. I am a big lover of yoga but at the moment I am doing training with Brieann from Wabi-Sabi Well and I love it, it is yoga mixed with meditation mixed with strength and cardio. It is a real mind, body and spirit way of moving. But sometimes I just love a good boxing session to get out any frustration or stress.


+ What is your intention for this year?
My intention is to be open, focused and courageous. I am still finding my feet owing and running a business full time so there is always something to work on. I want to be the best I can be for my clients and followers.


+ What do you cook for someone you love?
I usually cook something healthy which is what I am all about along with a raw dessert like chocolate mousse or cheesecake.
