Well my sweet friend, HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope you had a super amazing festive season that was full of love, joy and laughter with all who matter in your life. Without it chaos rears its ugly head and all hell can break loose. You loose motivation. Forget things that need to be done and stress creeps in, which is something that we need to minimise in our lives. Don't put pressure on yourself It is the beginning of a new year and you are back at work. You are coasting along nicely thinking that you still have a few more weeks of being a tad slacker than normal. But all of a sudden you find yourself in February and the work is starting to pile up. Stress alert! Let's STOP that from happening right now. Take the time to plan ahead...schedule in any deadlines or work you know is coming up, meetings and appointments, how much time you will need for certain tasks and begin what you can now. Of course, enjoy this quieter time of the year but don't make it harder on yourself for the months ahead. Remember back to your school days where you crammed for exams or started your assignment the night before? Yep, let's not do that now we are adults. If you have your own amazing small business like I do, I have sat down and written out a little plan of the things I want to do and work on this year. I am not just working away blind and have no idea what is happening next. Also schedule in the things I mentioned above, especially if you are a one woman show. You need to be organised and prepared. Let's take that pressure off ourselves from the beginning. ............................................. |
