Be grateful for everything in your life...

The above quote from Oprah is so true! 


In this day and age we are never happy, there is always something more that we want...a better job, a new car, more money and it goes on. Why do we always have to think on the negative side of life? Why can't we think positively and be happy with all the wonderful things that we already have in our life? 



Our inner voice or ego, most of time is negative it is just geared that way because of the society we live in...we are not good enough. Well I want to tell you that you ARE good enough and everything you have in your life is AMAZING no matter how big or small. 



Each day I write down three things I am grateful for that has happened during the day, even when I have a crappy day it is refreshing to put all that aside and focus on the good things that happened. It can be anything and everything...seeing the beautiful sunrise this morning, making someone smile or the yummy dinner that you ate. 

Life is beautiful and full of amazing experiences and by being more thankful for everything you have then you will see more of this beauty and less of the yuck stuff. We need to rewire our brain so we shut the negative thoughts off and look at the positive of the situation.


I don't have a big house, fancy car or a lot of money in the bank but I feel as though I am the luckiest girl in the world! I have a home, an amazing husband, a job I love, friends I cherish, adoring family, loving pets, delicious food on the table, the ability to inspire other women and the list goes on.



I would love for you to try and write three things you are thankful for each day or even each week. It changes your whole perspective and you will be surprised that what you are thankful for aren't material things because really these are not important when it really comes down to it. 




Here is my list of gratitude for today:

+ The great sleep I had last night.
+ The sunshine.
+ The opportunity to help out at a wellness event this evening (bog post about this tomorrow).
