A reminder to live life to the fullest...

3/3/2015

Now 'live life to the fullest' is a common quote or saying, but something I think we need to be reminded of every now and then. We can get so caught up in the day to day of life, be it work, looking after the kids or running a business, that we forget this simple but so important saying.

This reminder smacked me in the head on Friday when I opened an email from Tallon, Jess Ainscough's fiance, saying that Jess had passed away peacefully on Thursday. Ummmm what?? I instantly teared up and had a cry to myself over this news. It touched me deeply.

If you don't know who Jess is, she is the Wellness Warrior. I am using the word 'is' instead of 'was' because she will always be this person, this inspiration. When I first started my journey, like many, Jess's blog was one of the first that got me started. I will be forever grateful to Jess for helping me on this journey of wellness and living my most happy life.

Jess had been thriving with cancer for the past 7 years, but it all sadly came to an end last Thursday 26th February 2015.

I didn't know Jess on a personal level, but I had the absolute pleasure of being an Earth Angel at her last event in February 2014 where I got to watch her speak...inspiring. And I I got meet her afterwards...humble and beautiful. Looking back on this photo of Jess and I fills me with such happiness that I got to meet this wonderful woman in person and have a little chat with her.

The biggest lesson to come out of this and a reminder I want to give you is to live life to fullest because who knows what is going to happen tomorrow. Whether that be you are currently struck down with an illness or you are healthy.

"Tomorrow isn't guaranteed for any one of us.

Let's make the decision to live every day in happiness and don't be afraid to shake up your routine. Want to see a movie during the week? Do it! Feel as though you need a mental health day? Take it with no guilt attached!

+ Hug your loved ones tighter

+ Follow your dreams, no matter what!

+ Be happy, every single day

+ Smile and laugh all the time

+ Believe in yourself

+ Inspire and love others

+ Have fun

+ Go on adventures

+ Book that holiday you have always wanted to take

+ Do what makes your heart sing

+ Be kind

+ Spread happiness

+ Indulge in life and everything it has to offer

+ Show gratitude, always

I would love for you to take the time now to list the things you have been putting off for another day...What can you start to do today to live the life you always wanted? Start now!

The more fulfilling we make our lives, the happier we are and don't you want that? Happiness? Yes, shit will happen because life is a roller coaster, but you won't let it bog you down. You will feel the emotion that comes up during those tough times and then move forward because you know happiness will return on the other side of it.

I would love to know what you have been putting off in life, share with me in the comments below...

Be happy & healthy,

Such a beautiful post Kylie! I was also shocked and left speechless and saddened by the news from Tallon. It is so sudden! And it reminded me also about how fortunate we are to be here, with freedom to do what we declare for ourselves in the next moment. This month, I am feeling a call to further declutter and reduce "things" in my life. Instead, I will convert these "things" into feelings that I want to surround myself with in life. And that will mean getting rid of some stuff in order to make room for new energy to flow in. Much love!! X

Awww thank you Jo!! I'm so glad you enjoyed reading it. I love that you are going to de-clutter and convert things into feelings, so beautiful! I am in the middle of doing something similar, I am working on forgiveness from things from my past so I too can make room for new wonderful things to flow into my life. I hope you are well!! xxx
