Turmeric Latte

This warming drink not only tastes delicious but is also full of ingredients that your body will love! Plus you will most likely have the ingredients in your pantry. 


Turmeric has become a superfood of late and that is for good reason, it is so good for helping with inflammation in your body and the added cinnamon is great to help stabilise your blood sugar levels. Also, turmeric needs black pepper so the body can absorb all the benefits of turmeric, so make sure you add that to your latte. 


Need I say more?!
Serves: 1 


INGREDIENTS


1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground ginger
Pinch black pepper
1tsp coconut sugar (optional)
2-3 drops, vanilla extract

 Boiling water
Coconut or almond milk
1/2 - 1 tsp honey (depending on how sweet you want it) 


1. Put the turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, pepper, coconut sugar and vanilla into a mug. Top with boiling water (around 1/3 cup) and stir until all the dry ingredients have dissolved. 

2. Heat your milk of choice either in a saucepan on the stove or in a milk frother (I use Aldi's and love it). 

3. Pour the milk into the mug and stir. Now add in your honey and stir again. 

4. Now enjoy!
