I am on a sustainable living journey, trying to cut back waste as much as I can. With this comes a lot more homemade items and bulk buying food. I came across a recipe to create your own coconut yoghurt and thought why not give it a go. It is so easy, full of probiotics, is way cheaper and tastes better than the store bought alternative. So why wouldn't you make it yourself?! A tip that I came across was to make sure your probiotic capsule only has 'probiotics' in it and not "prebiotics' as the pre can make the coconut milk go mouldy which isn't what we want. We want it to ferment with good bacteria.

How good are pancakes?
I saw Rachael Finch on Instagram add greens powder to her pancake mixture to make them colourful for her kids. I thought this was genius! I decided to try the same with my own pancake recipe, and it worked a treat. The girls think they are great because they are green, little do they know they are full of goodness #mumwin. I love ice cream as much as the next person, but if you can find a healthier option that tastes just like gelati but without the refined sugar, why wouldn't you give it a go.
It was a hot day in Melbourne and I wanted to treat me and the girls, so I put this combo together in my Nutri-Bullet and it came out perfect. There are so many powders and supplements on the market that I think we have forgotten a bit about the humble fruit and vegge.
When this thought came to me I decided to muck around with a little wellness shot to take each morning to help me get enough fruit and veggie in my day, because let's be real, some days are better than others when it comes to what I eat. I love playing around with different combos and I found this to be a winner, plus it is full of the goodness. A cold winters day calls for warming foods.
I made this recipe on exactly one of those days and it was like a warm hug before I headed out into said cold winters day for a personal training session with a client. Not only is this dish warming and healthy, it is tasty. Plus you can play around with it and add the things you love, including making it vegetarian by replacing the beef with extra veggies. Smoothies are my go to breakfast when I don't know what to have or don't have the time to prepare anything else. You chuck everything into your blender, and there you have it, a nutritious tasty brekkie.
The thing to make sure you have in your smoothies is healthy fats and protein to help keep you fuller for longer. And this one has a good dose of antioxidants with the berries. I am usually a sweet tooth when it comes to the healthy recipes I share with you, but when I mentioned on Instagram that I was making my own satay sauce for a stir-fry, I got a big YES to sharing the recipe.
I LOVE satay, it is creamy and just delicious. The best part about this recipe is it is super easy, and you can keep the chilli out of the kids portion so they can eat it too. I love playing around with different bliss ball flavours because they are one of my all time favourite snacks. And one of my all time favourite naughty treats is lemon slice...yum! So I decided to combine the two and make a lemon slice bliss ball and boy is it yummy!!
