Carrot Cake Porridge...
Who doesn't love carrot cake?!
Well I know some people don't, but if you do, you are going to love this winter warmer of a brekkie.
Like with a lot of my recipes, add or remove ingredients as you please, but I hope you enjoy it as is.
It is full of goodness and having some veggies in your breakfast is always a great way to start your day.
Free from: dairy, refined sugar
1/2 cup oats
1/4 cup sultanas
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/4 carrot, grated
1/2 apple, grated
1 cup milk (I used almond milk)
Maple syrup, drizzle over the cooked porridge
1. Put all the ingredients into a saucepan that is on med-low heat.
2. Stir to combine and allow to heat through and the oats to absorb some of the milk.
3. Cook until you get a thick creamy consistency.
4. Serve in a bowl and top with maple syrup.
