The week it was...7 days of exercise week two!

Wow, what a week I had last week!

I exercised 7 days in a row and today I am sore so have decided to listen to my body and have a rest day. My rest day was meant to be Friday but I ended up participating in a class I take at my work (I work one day a week at a female gym) and then went for a walk with a client in the afternoon and a walk/jog with another client after that. Craziness!

I must say after 2 weeks of full on exercise I am loving it. When I knew Friday was going to be a rest day I was a little sad that I wasn't going to do anything but at the same time I know the importance of resting my body and not over training. I can't be injured with my job so I am very careful of this.

Here is my wrap up of week two:

Day One

Was a cardio day with a 10 minute jog and then 6 x hill intervals (running up the hill for 30secs and walk back down for 60secs).

Day Two

Strength day with mainly legs and abs (same as last week).

Day Three

I had to do the time trial again to see how far I could run in 12 minutes. Last week I managed 1.9km in 12 minutes and this week I managed 2km in 12 minutes. An improvement which was great to see!

Day Four

Another strength day of mainly upper body and abs (same as last week).

Day Five

Was meant to be my rest day but did a strength class, a walk plus another walk/jog with two of my wonderful clients.

Day Six

I went to a workshop which was run by my favourite wellness blogger, Melissa Ambrosini. She did this workshop with a personal trainer friend, Christian Miranda and boy did Christian smash me with his work out!

In total over 4 sets was 80 burpees, 80 push ups, 80 sit ups, 80 squats, 80 mountain climbers and 80 squat jumps with 1 minute rest between each set. Killer work out followed by 20 minutes of yoga!

Day Seven

The Color Run which is a 5km fun run that I did with two of my clients. We had a ball and finished up all nice and colourful. We all did really well and pretty much jogged the whole 5km, I was very proud of all of us. I highly recommend this fun run for next year.

Phew, I am tired just reading what I did last week, but I loved every minute of it and will start Week 3 tomorrow with a cardio day.

Share with me your exercise diary, I would love to read it!

Be happy & healthy,
