"What should I be doing and when should I be doing it?"

"This idol of mine does this, so I'm going to do it too!"

"I am not enjoying myself, but they say I sho
uld do it."

And on goes the self talk...

What am I talking about you may ask? I am talking about wellness information overload!

If you are a follower of my work, or new to my work 'WELCOME', you know I am all about wellness and health. But at the same time I know the importance of only doing what truly lights you up.

There is so much information out there, that sometimes we think we need to do it all, but you don't!

The one piece of advice I think is truly important in the wellness world is, try and experiment but if you don't enjoy doing something then just don't do it.

It is completely okay to say "thanks but no thanks, I hate doing that so I'm not going to do it".
If you hate yoga and prefer going to the gym, then go to the gym. Or if the thought of meditating stresses you out, then find some other way to breath and relax.

The word on the street at the moment is wellness, but sometimes it can do you more harm than good if you are trying to do everything that you read about.

I am a big advocate for trying new things out before fobbing them off. If you don't have fun or look forward to it, then just leave it behind and move onto the next thing.

Saying all this, it is important to do things for you each and every day, no matter how big or small they may be. You need to unwind, relax and have time out for yourself.

Have fun trying new things, because wellness should be just that, FUN!

Here is my evening routine which I love to do:

Put on my PJ's, wash my face, brush my teeth, go to the toilet, write down the things I am grateful for from the day, rub doTERRA 'serenity' on the bottom on my feet (for a good nights rest), put hand cream on and read a book.

This routine is enjoyable for me and allows me to wind down from the day. My mind and body now knows that once I start this process it is time for rest and restoration.

What routines do you have in your life that you love? Or have you started a routine which you hated but thought you 'had to do it' because that is what 'those people' tell you to do? Share with me in the comments below...

Give yourself a break lovey and only do what makes your heart shine!
