Can you believe we are now past the half way mark of the year? Where did June go? I looked at my calendar and realised my four things I loved is due to be sent out. Wow is all I can say!
This month has been packed full of goodies but at the same time I have had a few quiet weekends which has been absolutely beautiful for my soul. Last weekend I literally stayed home all of Saturday and Sunday, it was cold and rainy in Melbourne so it was perfect.
As each month rolls by I want to share with you some of things I have been loving. So here we go June 2014...
SOLAR PLEXUS NECKLACE BY VIOLET GRAY DESIGNS...I am in love with my Violet Gray chakra necklace, it is simple, delicate yet beautiful. This design is for the solar plexus chakra which is located at the centre of your wrist. This necklace is all about self-esteem, positivity, confidence, empowerment and energy. Perfect for a business owner like me I think. I highly recommend you check out their website because their jewellery is just divine.
EMBRACING WINTER...this year I made a deal with myself not to dis winter. I am a spring/summer kinda girl but I thought this year I would embrace and love every season for what it is. And that is what I have been doing so far this winter.
I must say it is so nice to just take things for what they are. Yes it is cold outside and lately in Melbourne, wet and windy, but there is a beautiful positive in everything. I now sit with a cuppa in silence and watch the rain run down the window and contemplate life and daydream away. I make yummy hearty meals for dinner. My husband and I snuggle on the couch covered in blankets with our two fur babies and watch our favourite TV shows together.
Life is just beautiful and relaxing. It is the season that gives you permission to relax, to sleep a little longer and enjoy all the comfort foods (warming foods not 'junk' food).
I highly recommend enjoying every season for what it is instead of focusing on the negatives.
MIRACLES NOW BY GABBY BERNSTEIN...has become one of my go to books. It is full of life and insightful lessons. It gets your brain thinking. It gives you things to bring into your own life.
The best way to use this book is to take in a deep breath and then open up to a random page, let the book tell you what you need to hear for that particular day. Whenever I am stuck or just feel like some extra oomph in a moment this book is right there waiting for me.
Gabby also has some other incredible books including Spirit Junkie which I love. I highly recommend you check out her work if you are interested in spiritual things. Check out her website here.
P.S I was so excited when Gabby liked this photo of mine on Instagram :)
MAKING NEW CONNECTIONS...with like minded women has been so refreshing for my soul. I have such amazing friends in my life who I love dearly but none that are into all the blogging and mind, body + spirit things I am now into. So some of the Melbourne crew who did Rachel MacDonald's Bright Eyed & Blog Hearted course caught up for some lunch in a yummy organic café in Northcote. What a pleasure it was to meet these beauties and discuss all sorts of things, support each other and give each other ideas for our businesses. Kindred spirits right here!!
The old me wouldn't have had the guts to go out and meet up with people I have never met before but the new me was looking forward to it. We just chatted away like we had all known each other for ages, it was comfortable and special. This is another example of stepping outside of your comfort zone because you never know who you are going to meet.
