Now I don't want to carry on and whinge to you because who wants to read that, but if you have been following me and my work for a while now, you will know I am all about honesty and real life.
Yes I will share all the fun times and rainbows and unicorns, but I will also share the hard times and the struggles. If you follow me on Instagram (if you don't I hang out a lot here so come join me), you will have seen the pattern for me this month has been STRUGGLE. Not only in motherhood, but I feel like in life as well. You know those times where we just seem to think we suck at motherhood? Can you relate? We aren't on form and we feel like we are being a bad mum. That has been happening to me the past 3 weeks.

I had such a great time chatting with Rosie Rees who isn't a mama yet but she has so much wisdom and knowledge to share when it comes to connecting with your body and loving and accepting it. Which I truly believe, all of us mama's need to have in our lives.
Now this episode is raw, honest and deep; we talk about sex, vagina's and working on getting that connection back to ourselves, which doesn't get spoken about enough, because after having a baby this can be lost, so I hope you get a lot out of it. ++ This is a chance for you to relax, grab a cuppa and take some time out just for you to be inspired and maybe learn a thing or two that you can incorporate into your life. Since starting my business back in June 2013, I have morphed and changed so much over almost 4 years; which of course is to be expected. But little did I know how much comparison would strike during the explosion of social media and turning my business partially online.
I am constantly checking on Instagram and Facebook making sure I'm sharing and staying in people's minds. I want my business to continue to grow and most importantly, I want to continue helping mums becoming the best version of themselves. I feel as though I need to keep updating and checking because what if I'm forgotten? What a ridiculous thought when you ponder that sentence. The latest comparison that I am suffering from is not being as good as other mum bloggers out there. They have thousands of followers on Instagram, but it seems no matter what I try (hastags, commenting & sharing) I cannot seem to break the 2,000 followers mark. Such anxiety and pressure comes from these negative self-inflicted thoughts that aren't even true. Why do we do this to ourselves ladies? I had the pleasure of having a chat with the very lovely Cassie Mendoza-Jones who isn't a mama yet but she knows a whole lot about comparison which is something that comes up so often for us mum's.
Cassie and I had so many laughs and I learnt that her full name is Cassie and isn't short for Cassandra and that she wanted everyone to call her Samantha when she was a little girl. Too cute! This chat was fun and I hope you laugh along with us. A year ago now I started Radiant + Inspiring TV. I retired her late last year, but the interviewees are so good that I have decided to share them with everyone, right here on my blog!
I love watching interviews, maybe because I'm a visual learner, but I feel as though I can connect with the people in the interview way more than just listening or reading. So that is why I have turned my interview series into a 'blog show' as such. This is a chance for you to relax, grab a cuppa and take some time out just for you to be inspired and maybe learn a thing or two that you can incorporate into your life. |
